Dialogue Between Architecture and Interior Design: Exploring Convergence in Contemporary Living Spaces – A Systematic Literature Revieweos.

Resumen

Introduction: This study examines the convergence between architecture and interior design in the creation of contemporary living spaces, exploring how these disciplines complement each other to enhance aesthetics, functionality, and well-being. 

Objective: To analyze the dialogue between architecture and interior design, identifying how their interaction influences the creation of spaces that meet current needs and improve quality of life. 

Method: A systematic literature review was conducted using databases such as Scopus, selecting studies from the last five years. Strict inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied to ensure the relevance and timeliness of analyses on the interrelationship between both disciplines. 

Results: The effective integration of architecture and interior design enhances functionality and user experience. The use of emerging technologies, such as virtual reality, stands out as a key factor in optimizing interaction and satisfaction in interior design. 

Conclusions: The research highlights the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to better understand the convergence between architecture and interior design. Effective collaboration between these disciplines is essential to create aesthetically appealing, functional, and adaptable spaces that meet users' well-being needs.
